At It’s Fun To Be A Girl, we think that girls deserve clothing with ample fabric that reaches to their collarbone, elbows, and knees; not all outfits featured meet those standards, but we do the best we can for the glory of the God and our mission to evangelize through beauty.
Dress: Vintage, Etsy; Cardigan: Old Navy; Belt: Target; Boots: Target; Bracelets: thrifted
I feel like a Ralph Lauren girl in this outfit and love how seasonally appropriate it is. By seasonally appropriate, I mean not only autumn but football; I am an alum of Notre Dame and have been simply thrilled with the Fighting Irish’s record this fall. Have a blessed weekend, dear ones. To each of you I offer my hopes for the successful concoction of game-watching hors d’oeuvres and a grace-filled truly re-creational time with your family, in Christ.

Katie – you are lovely! I love the mix of prints/patterns here….and those fab accessories for a pulled together look
Go Irish!!
Thanks, Deme! Imagine my delight when I realized last year that polka-dots and animal prints count as neutrals. Oh, I have had such fun since then.
Katie–you’re joy shines in these photos!
Audrey, congratulations, you are today’s first-time-commenter! I am very pleased to meet you. And, special thanks to Jesus for the “joy” you see shining. He is wonderfully good at putting sparkle in a girl’s eye.
Woo hoo! What a fun outfit, Katie! I adore your mix of staid plaid and rowwrrr-animal print. And the belt! You hit this one out of the park. Plus, let’s talk about how lovely your face looks. Sister love to you.
Thanks, dear Kelly! Roxanna G did a great job with the photos, and I am ever so thankful to fashion designers of the 1970s for such lovelies as this dress.

Cute! I want that dress! It is adorable. Alas, I don’t wear many dresses because I’m still nursing my young one.
Thanks, Elisa! As for nursing and wearing dresses, behold the genius of the shirtwaist dress. That’s all I wear this year because my Josephine is still nursing full-time.
I bought this shirtwaist gem on Etsy for $20. Check out this search I just made for similar styles (on sale, no less): http://www.etsy.com/search/vintage?q=shirtwaist+dress+sale&view_type=gallery&ship_to=US
